Olivia Luccardi’s Role in ‘Rolling Loud’ Explained Alongside Co-Stars Matt Rife and Owen Wilson

Although primarily recognized as a stand-up comedian, Rife has made a name for himself in acting as well.

Joining the cast of Jeremy Garelick’s upcoming feature, Olivia Luccardi will star alongside Matt Rife and Owen Wilson in the comedy film Rolling Loud. The Cinemaholic confirms that principal photography began on December 10 in Miami, Florida, wrapping up on December 16.

Filming is set to resume in Atlanta, Georgia, starting January 27 and concluding on February 27, 2025. Garelick has also taken on the task of writing the screenplay.

Inspired by a true story, the film’s narrative follows an overprotective father (Wilson) who makes the unconventional decision to bring his 13-year-old son to the world’s largest hip-hop music festival.

This choice leads to a series of chaotic and adventurous events. The father and son are joined by a reckless co-worker (Rife) and a quirky festival volunteer as they encounter wild crowds, security challenges, and family dynamics.

Luccardi gained recognition for her role as Jennifer Digori in Netflix’s acclaimed prison series Orange Is the New Black, along with portraying Officer Brandy Quinlan in the crime drama East New York and Melissa in the mystery series The Deuce.

Her film credits include Yara in David Robert Mitchell’s horror drama It Follows, Arlene in Jodie Foster’s crime thriller Money Monster, and Remy in John Swab’s horror thriller Candy Land.

Recently, Wilson was seen as Time Variance Authority agent Mobius in the second season of Disney+’s Marvel series Loki, featuring Tom Hiddleston.

He also played Father Kent in the Disney film Haunted Mansion, directed by Justin Simien and starring LaKeith Stanfield, Tiffany Haddish, Danny DeVito, Rosario Dawson, Chase W. Dillon, Jamie Lee Curtis, and Jared Leto.

Although primarily recognized as a stand-up comedian, Rife has made a name for himself in acting as well. He portrayed Connor in Leah Sturgis’ sci-fi film Trapped Inn, which tells the story of a cycling team experiencing mysterious deaths during a training camp in the remote mountains.

Additionally, he appeared as Mort Madison in Jack Cook’s mystery drama The Private Eye and as Ethan, a vampire, in RJ Collins’ comedy Don’t Suck.

Regarding his stand-up career, Rife recently announced the Matt Rife: Stay Golden Tour, which includes two shows at Madison Square Garden in New York City. He also published his first memoir, titled Your Mom’s Gonna Love Me, earlier this month.

Jeremy Garelick is known for directing Hulu’s The Binge, a parody of The Purge that follows three young adults as they prepare to party on the one day each year when drugs and alcohol are legal for 12 hours.

He co-wrote the rom-com The Break-Up, starring Vince Vaughn and Jennifer Aniston, and directed The Wedding Ringer. His latest directorial project is Netflix’s crime comedy Murder Mystery 2, featuring Aniston and Adam Sandler.
