In response, the protagonist devises an ambitious plan to alleviate the suffering of the refugees, gaining attention for his efforts and demonstrating compassion even in the face of judgment from others. The situation becomes increasingly difficult as a harsh winter approaches.

A versatile actor and musician, Jones garnered praise for his portrayal of Red Welby in Martin McDonagh’s Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri, as well as for his role as Jeremy Armitage in Jordan Peele’s Get Out.

He also made a known appearance alongside James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, and Jennifer Lawrence in Matthew Vaughn’s X-Men: First Class, playing Cassidy/Banshee, a misfit mutant capable of producing powerful ultrasonic screams.

His performance in Justin Kurzel’s 2021 biographical crime thriller Nitram showcased his range, earning him an AACTA Award for Best Lead Actor in Film.

Additionally, he lent his voice to the humanoid robot Jeff in Miguel Sapochnik’s post-apocalyptic drama Finch, where he accompanied Tom Hanks’ titular character.

Recently, Jones worked with Luc Besson in the action film Dogman, portraying Douglas Munrow, a man with a deep love for dogs and a tragic history of childhood abuse.

He also took on the role of Walter Thirsk in Athina Rachel Tsangari’s historical drama Harvest, which tells the story of a village that mysteriously disappears over a week.

Amarillo has served as the backdrop for many productions that capture its distinctive dusty perspective. Among these famous projects are Netflix’s Will & Harper, Randy Redroad’s Edge of the World, and Nathan Scoggins’ What Remains, another film that focuses on a small-town pastor.
