The Protagonist’s Efforts to Protect Walden

Upon release, the protagonist is given an ultimatum by Daniel: eliminate Walden in exchange for a lucrative deal. Instead of complying, he devises an intricate plan to fake Walden’s death and dismantle Daniel’s drug empire.
Walden’s Tragic End
Following the staged assassination, the protagonist attempts to help Walden escape Poland with their partners for a new life. To maintain the ruse, he sedates Walden, who awakens to find his life spared and a chance at starting over.
However, Walden struggles with guilt over killing an innocent child to protect the gang. Convinced he must face the consequences of his actions, he resolves to return to Poland.
In a heartbreaking climax, Walden takes his own life aboard the boat by shooting himself in front of the protagonist. Despite the protagonist’s meticulous efforts, he is unable to save his closest friend, leaving the film with a powerful and sorrowful conclusion.
