Among those pursuing him is Chino, accompanied by a group of ruthless enforcers. As the relentless chase continues, Octavio gets into several fights and narrow escapes. During one of these moments, he receives a call from Paul, who reveals a crucial detail—the match had been rigged from the start.
By walking away, Octavio has unintentionally cost a group of criminals $75,000, turning him into their primary target.
What Does Octavio Have to Buy Before the Party?
In the middle of all the chaos, Octavio still has to pick up a birthday cake for Leonie. Unfortunately, during one of the fights, the cake is destroyed, forcing him to figure out another gift. Later, despite suffering a stab wound, he makes a stop at an animal shelter to buy a kitten for her.
However, trouble finds him once again. At the shelter, Chino and his men track him down, leading to yet another intense confrontation. Against all odds, he manages to escape, but time is running out. The party is now just a few blocks away, and he must push through his injuries to reach his daughter.
What Happens When Octavio Arrives at the Birthday Party?
By the time he gets there, he is barely standing. His body is battered, his face is bruised, and his stomach is wrapped in makeshift bandages from the stab wound. Yet, even in this condition, he arrives with the kitten in his hands, determined to give his daughter something special.
As he collapses on the walkway outside his ex-wife’s house, Leonie rushes to his side, relieved to see that despite his exhaustion, he is still alive. The movie carries a deeper message, reflecting the struggles that some men go through just to be present in their children’s lives.
