The place where the characters are preparing Meth carries deep spiritual importance as it is Chacatoy land. It is believed that anyone who steps onto this consecrated ground and sheds human blood will be doomed to an endless cycle of violence.
According to Chacatoy folklore, in an era so ancient that even the sun and moon were in their infancy, a fierce battle raged on this very land, lasting through day and night. The valley became a sea of blood, with countless warriors perishing—numbers as vast as the stars in the sky.

What truly transpired, however, was not an ordinary war between opposing armies. Rather, a small group of individuals found themselves ensnared in a time loop, forced to engage in a relentless cycle of bloodshed. They kept killing each other repeatedly until just one person was left alive.
The cause of their entrapment was their betrayal—one among them had taken the life of another. The curse dictated that only a single survivor would be freed, but at a terrible cost—walking away alone, with neither foes nor companions.
The use of this curse is that once a group experiences internal betrayal through murder, those left behind are doomed. Their fate is either to perish one after the other or to endure the unbearable weight of guilt, knowing they are the cause of their companions’ deaths.
The Deadly Game and the Choices Made
Now that Milton, Russell, and Skyler have all gained an understanding of the time loops, Russell suggests a brutal game of Russian Roulette as a way to determine who will leave the ordeal alive and wealthy. However, luck is not on his side—he pulls the trigger and fires a loaded chamber, ending his life instantly.

Milton, holding the gun next, no longer has the will to go on. Though he has developed feelings for Skyler, he remains deeply distrustful of her and sees no promise in life beyond the cycle they are trapped in.
Unable to find a reason to continue, he turns the gun on himself, choosing death over escape. Actor Milo Cawthorne reflects on this moment in an interview, explaining, “By the time the film concludes, he fully understands his desires and makes the greatest sacrifice, not for others, but for himself.”
Understanding the Ending of Blood Punch
Sitting in between the lifeless bodies of Milton and Russell, Skyler finally manages to break free from the time loop. Before she can process her escape, Riley and Nabiki—the Meth dealers—come upon her. Their plan is simple: take all the Meth for themselves and eliminate her.
However, what they fail to realize is that Skyler has already figured out the intricacies of the curse and how to break it. If they succeed in killing her, they will unknowingly trigger a new cycle, trapping themselves in an entirely fresh time loop.
At first, Riley and Nabiki will be oblivious to why they are reliving the same events repeatedly. But after multiple attempts at killing Skyler, they will begin to understand that something is wrong. Eventually, they will be compelled to confront her, seeking answers about the strange phenomenon.
By this point, Skyler will hold the advantage—having complete knowledge of the curse, she will find a way to turn the tables on them.
She will likely end up eliminating both Riley and Nabiki, finally securing her escape. However, her victory will come at a price, as she may leave with the money but with no one by her side and a lingering burden in her heart.
