Money Heist Season 2 Ending Explained: Where They All Ended Up

The Professor found peace on an island but carried the weight of loss.

It was clear where he ended up—he stayed on an island somewhere in Asia, and Inspector Raquel Murillo located him there after about a year. Even though he was deeply affected by the loss of his older brother (which came out at the tail end, though many already had their doubts), he managed to regroup and see the plan through.

They all got away with the money, and most likely, everyone later received their share without any noise. How the funds reached them wasn’t disclosed. But there’s this unanswered part—what became of Raquel’s mother and her daughter? Did her mother pass away?

Is the daughter now with her father? Raquel seemed to have walked away from both of them and headed to the island without saying much.

Rio and Tokyo

There wasn’t a proper conclusion here. Rio kept giving off signs that he expected Tokyo to call it quits, but she always found her way back to him. He even joked that she might vanish on a jet ski, while she said she’d rather leave on a boat with her chest out.

That part where she asked for the engagement necklace seems like a subtle hint that they got married on one of those islands. But knowing how Tokyo behaves, things between them won’t exactly be peaceful. She will likely return to her reckless ways, leaving Rio heartbroken now and then.

Still, there’s a sense that their bond might somehow keep them together. They’ve shared pain that only both of them truly understand.

Denver and Monica

It’s clear that these two tied the knot and are raising their child together. Monica now goes by Agata. Their location isn’t exactly certain, though.

Monica appeared hesitant about relocating outside Spain, yet they’re likely living somewhere far away from Spain, probably just enjoying a quiet life and raising their child without much attention.

Helsinki and Nairobi

Towards the end, Helsinki made a joke about the two of them becoming flatmates. But thinking about it, that idea probably didn’t go anywhere. Nairobi seems like someone who would have traveled out to another country to chase new business ventures.

She gave off that entrepreneurial energy and most likely continued with some lowkey underground operations. Helsinki, on the other hand, would probably be spending his share of the money and living easily.

Truth be told, the writers didn’t bother tying up loose ends for these two. Their storylines were left hanging without proper closure.

Did the people who stayed behind for €1M each get the money?

Nairobi likely did what she could to ensure someone like Torres got his money. Arthur, on the other hand, probably didn’t see a cent. Nairobi was someone who tried her best to stick to her promises, no matter the danger involved. So there’s a chance she followed through, at least with the ones she respected.
