Bu Mi Ja followed her that day, a decision that cost her everything. Her husband, Sang Tae, carried deep resentment towards Ko Mi Ja for years and completely cut her off. Despite his grudge, Sang Tae never intervened in Sam Dal and Yong Pil’s relationship, assuming it wouldn’t last.
However, when he realized that they were serious about their future together and had even planned to study abroad, he took action. He asked Sam Dal to break things off with Yong Pil, leaving her with no choice but to comply. She walked away without giving Yong Pil an explanation.
Just as he was about to demand answers, he witnessed his father’s hostility towards Ko Mi Ja and also discovered her fragile health condition. This led him to assume that Sam Dal ended things because of their parents’ strained relationship. So, when she later returned to him, he upheld the breakup, unwilling to hurt his father.
Although Yong Pil never left Jeju, despite having the potential to pursue his dream of working in Switzerland, Sam Dal moved to Seoul and became one of the best in her profession. Yet, even after eight years, neither of them had truly moved on from each other.
A Second Chance at Love
Years later, Sam Dal’s career takes a hit when her assistant, Bang Eun Ju, falsely accuses her of workplace misconduct. The backlash forces Sam Dal to return home, away from the scrutiny, bringing her face-to-face with Yong Pil once again. This unexpected reunion sets the stage for their relationship to rekindle.
Their love had never truly faded. While Sam Dal tried to suppress her feelings, Yong Pil never even attempted. His entire life in Samdal-Ri was proof of his unwavering devotion to her. As they spent more time together, Sam Dal realized that letting go of him had never been an option.
She couldn’t ignore the sacrifices Yong Pil had made for her and her mother while she was away. Overwhelmed by everything he had done, she finally confessed her love. Though she initially tried to walk away again, she soon understood that their love was worth fighting for.
Instead of breaking up due to external pressure, they had to convince those standing in their way. By this time, Yong Pil had grown tired of his father’s objections. Sang Tae, on the other hand, feared that if he forgave Ko Mi Ja, he would be betraying the memory of his late wife.
But seeing how deeply his son and Sam Dal loved each other, he decided to set aside his resentment and gave them his blessing. With this, Yong Pil and Sam Dal officially reunited.
Clearing Sam Dal’s Name and Moving Forward
Meanwhile, Eun Ju’s actions had severe consequences. Her false accusations left her career in ruins. Chung Gi later uncovered her involvement in illegally promoting sponsored products during magazine shoots, and with the help of their other friends, they gathered enough evidence to expose her.
She was eventually cornered and forced to confess, leading to a journalist publicly clearing Sam Dal’s name. With Eun Ju out of the picture, Sam Dal hosted her first solo exhibition, which turned out to be a massive success. Life was finally back on track.
Do Yong Pil and Sam Dal Get a Happy Ending?
Ha Yul had always carried an unnecessary burden, believing that her birth had halted her mother’s ambitions. The weight of this guilt was surprising for someone so young.
However, once Hae Dal discovered her daughter’s worries, she reassured her that she should chase her dreams while allowing her mother to do the same. Inspired by this, Hae Dal insisted on training as a Hanyeo for her fulfillment.
She also began a relationship with the manager of the dolphin center, proving that one of Ha Yul’s matchmaking attempts had worked. Jin Dal and Dae Young’s story was more complicated. If anyone had fought for love after Yong Pil, it was Dae Young.
He had done everything he could for Jin Dal, and eventually, she could no longer ignore her feelings. Their journey was far from easy, but despite the challenges, Dae Young chose to leave his company and take up a new job at the airport.
Jin Dal, on the other hand, reclaimed her position at work, and while she resumed her relationship with Dae Young, they did not remarry. At the same time, Sam Dal was preparing to return to Seoul when she learned about Yong Pil’s long-abandoned aspirations.
