She made a confession video to Dane, revealing everything about her and Stefan’s deceit. Though she knew this would likely ruin her relationship with Dane, she couldn’t live with the lies anymore. Meanwhile, Eliza, determined to uncover the truth, went to Freed, where Stefan worked.
Posing as a customer, she was immediately recognized by Stefan, who pretended to be kind at first, before trapping her in the basement. Carly, worried for Eliza’s safety, tracked her down to the bar. Just as things were looking dire, Brooke showed up and secretly freed Eliza from the basement.
In a final act of redemption, she struck Stefan on the head with a dagger, knocking him out cold and ending his reign of terror.
