Things begin to heat up in the final episode as Kang Tae-Mo and Shin Ha-Ri spend an intimate night together in their bedroom. Tae-Mo goes a step further the next morning by preparing breakfast for her, then decides to escort her back to her house.
But everything takes a turn when Ha-Ri’s mother catches him, which leads to a long-awaited meeting between Tae-Mo and Ha-Ri’s family. Despite a few tense moments and some physical reactions from her parents, Tae-Mo clearly states his desire to be with Ha-Ri and eventually marry her.

After this honest conversation, everyone agrees and blesses their relationship.
Meeting the Family and Gaining Approval
Things become more complicated when Shin Ha-Ri has to win the approval of Kang Tae-Mo’s grandfather, who stands as a major obstacle in their love story. He goes as far as telling her to end things with Tae-Mo, but Ha-Ri doesn’t give in.
She responds calmly yet firmly, refusing to give up on their relationship. Later, the grandfather pretends to be sick and ends up in the hospital, and this is where Ha-Ri shows a different side of herself by caring for him without hesitation.

Her sincerity and sweet personality eventually melt his tough exterior. Unfortunately, due to the seriousness of his heart condition, Kang Tae-Mo must travel to the United States to seek proper medical treatment.
Shin Ha-Ri remains in South Korea, waiting patiently for Tae-Mo’s return. But during this period, gossip about Tae-Mo’s love life began to spread across town. Feeling uncertain, Ha-Ri packs her bags and prepares to fly to the U.S., only for her to be surprised by Tae-Mo’s return at that very moment.
He surprises her with a ring in hand and goes down on one knee to propose. Meanwhile, another beautiful connection blossoms between Jin Yeong-Seo and Cha Sung-Hoon, who happens to be Tae-Mo’s secretary. Their relationship builds up steadily, and by the drama’s conclusion, they also get engaged.
Love Blossoms for Everyone Finally
So, in the final moments, both couples find their versions of joy and commitment. The romantic pairing between Seol In-Ah and Kim Min-Gue matched the fiery energy of Ahn Hyo-Seop and Kim Se-Jeong’s on-screen relationship.
For all 16 episodes, audiences were treated to a mix of humour, romance, and emotional moments that left them deeply invested. Viewers became so fond of the chemistry between the two side characters that many even started hoping they were romantically involved off-screen, too.
