Fake Profile Season 1 Ending Explained: Twists, Lies, Family Secrets and Shocking Survivals

Camila rises from betrayal and blood to face the people who tried to bury her.

Camila’s situation grew worse after she discovered that Pedro (played by Víctor Mallarino), her dying father, was the brain behind an unnecessary and overly complicated plan to ruin both his children’s love lives. Angela (portrayed by Manuela González) is consumed by anger.

Angela appeared to have brutally attacked Camila (Carolina Miranda), who happened to be the mistress in question. She even persuaded her husband Miguel (Rodolfo Salas) — the same man whose unfaithfulness started the mess — to help her get rid of the body.

As is common with this kind of telenovela drama, nobody stays dead for long. Camila, it turns out, managed to survive the head injury caused by a rock, and she informed Miguel of this just as he was attempting to roll her up inside a carpet. Miguel later took her to a deserted family property so she could recover in peace.

But that peace didn’t last. Tina (Juliana Galvis), Pedro’s loyal associate, was able to track her down. Instead of finishing her off for destroying their well-planned schemes, Tina tied her up and left her there to “starve to death” — forgetting that thirst would kill her first.

Clearly, Tina wasn’t very skilled at tying knots or understanding how the human body works because Camila freed herself with surprising ease. Camila didn’t waste time before calling taxi driver David (Lincoln Palomeque), the man she trusted, to come pick her up.

After that, she made her way to Angela’s place for a final confrontation. Interestingly, someone else — presumed to be dead — appeared for this encounter too.

What became of Miguel in Fake Profile?

Things became more heated when Miguel demanded that Angela tell the police the truth — even though he already knew Camila was still alive. Despite all logic going out the window, this couple, who were clearly tired of each other, ended up in a serious road accident.

Angela was able to drag herself to safety but, driven by bitterness, she left Miguel behind to burn in the resulting explosion. How Miguel survived that fire was never explained, but when he stepped into Angela’s room behind Camila later on, he didn’t look like someone who had just escaped a blaze.

He barely had a scratch on him. Angela, by now unhinged and trigger-happy, started firing wildly. But Miguel and Camila, who seemed to have nine lives between them, managed to avoid harm. They even survived jumping out of a second-storey window.

Though Camila needed a long period of rehabilitation, she eventually found her way back to the Las Vegas stage. At this point, she had started a relationship with David. However, Miguel still kept his eyes on her from a distance, suggesting he hadn’t moved on from the woman who caused — and endured — plenty of drama.

Why was Pedro against Cris?

Pedro’s decision to keep Miguel — a serial catfish and womaniser — away from his business was understandable. But the reason behind his hatred for Cris (Felipe Londoño), Adrián’s (Mauricio Hénao) fiancé, wasn’t so clear at first.

Later, it came to light that Pedro’s wife had left him temporarily when their children were still young, and she had another child with a different man during that time. That child turned out to be Cris. This meant Cris and Adrián had been in a romantic relationship without knowing they were half-brothers.

Why Pedro chose to go through a complicated, long-drawn plan involving a third party instead of just telling them straight up remains puzzling. And yes, that third party — a bisexual waiter named Inti (Julián Cerati) — was also tangled in an affair with Angela.

To make matters even more uncomfortable, Inti was sleeping with both of Pedro’s children while also setting Cris up by accusing him of drug possession and running an OnlyFans page. In the end, when all of Inti’s schemes were exposed, he was the one that got kicked out.

Did Pedro’s schemes succeed?

Pedro’s over-the-top manipulation ended up achieving part of what he wanted. Both of his children were no longer in relationships by the time the story closed. However, Angela had accidentally killed her own father during a wild shootout in the bedroom and ended up behind bars.

A month later, she remained in detention but claimed she would do all she could to uphold her father’s business legacy. Whether or not that’s realistic, considering the murder and attempted murder charges hanging over her head, is another matter entirely.

While Angela was stuck in jail, Camila’s mother (played by Carmenza Gómez) finally tasted freedom. Camila had used the money she got from ruining Miguel’s marriage to pay for a lawyer who helped get her mum released.

Her mother had spent several years behind bars for killing her abusive husband, but with the right legal support, her case was argued successfully on the grounds of self-defence.
