The sixth episode of Blood & Water titled “Trippin'” carries the feel of a season finale, while carefully setting the stage for another season. Things kick off at KB’s house where his father has organised a dinner gathering. Fikile and her mother are present, creating an uncomfortable atmosphere for Puleng.
As events plays, Puleng listens to a voice note from Wade, hinting that KB’s father may have played a role in her sister’s kidnapping. During dinner, the controversial affair between a student and a teacher surfaces, but Fikile’s mother quickly changes the topic and moves attention towards Puleng.
Fikile grabs the chance to point out that Puleng’s father once faced accusations of human trafficking. In response, KB’s father mentions that Julius, Puleng’s father, would soon be cleared during his trial. Puleng, shocked by the mention of a trial she had no knowledge of, abruptly leaves the table.

Puleng arrives home deeply troubled, upset that her father hid the trial from her. Her father, on the other hand, explains that he preferred she stayed away because of the unpleasant things that would surface during the proceedings, admitting that some accusations might be true while others might be false.
A moment rekindling old emotions
In a separate moment, Fikile opens up to KB, sharing that Chad gave her a sense of security and that she truly loved him. KB confides in Fikile about how he feels strongly for Puleng, although Puleng seems to be pushing him away.
As emotions run high, Fikile apologises to KB and they share a kiss, but their private moment is quickly interrupted when Fikile’s mother knocks on the door. Elsewhere, Puleng’s mother sits her down, expressing concern that Puleng has been emotionally distant and stressing that the family must stand united.
KB opens up his heart
Later on, Puleng discusses Wade’s discoveries about KB’s father’s involvement; his law firm once operated as an adoption agency suspected to be linked to human trafficking. Puleng confesses she feels exhausted from the constant pain her investigations bring, and reminds herself that none of the findings guarantee that Fikile is her missing sister.
During an emotional exchange, KB tells Puleng he regrets not defending her earlier and apologises. Puleng suggests they isolate themselves from everything for some time. The intimacy they share that night draws them even closer, and KB confesses his love for Puleng.
The WhatsApp scandal surfaces
Attention soon changes to a serious situation when the Principal addresses a troubling WhatsApp group created to target Fikile. In a tense meeting with her parents, Fikile defends Chad, insisting he did not exploit her.
Fikile’s mother seizes the opportunity to remind the Principal about her heavy financial support to Parkhurst, firmly demanding that the person behind the malicious group be found. This part of the episode paints a clearer picture of just how much influence and power Fikile’s family wields, which leaves a rather unsettling feeling.
Another party night
True to the ongoing spirit of the show, another party scene comes to life. Puleng opens up to KB, admitting that no one has ever professed love to her the way he did.
Fearful, she wonders if KB might change his mind about her once he learns more about her truths — but she gathers her courage and says, “I love you KB”. The two share their first intimate moment together that night.
The shocking realisation
Returning home, Puleng is alarmed to find police officers present — her house has been broken into. Upon checking, she realises her laptop has been stolen. She rushes to tell Wade about a suspicious SUV that often parks outside her home.
Wade asks her to describe the logo on the SUV, and Puleng identifies it as the same symbol tied to KB’s father’s law firm. Suddenly, the pieces click into place; Mrs. Bhele, who could not conceive, mysteriously ended up with a fake birth certificate. Wade and Puleng come to the heartbreaking certainty that Fikile is indeed Puleng’s long-lost sister.

The truth hits Puleng like a heavy blow — she finds it difficult to breathe, overwhelmed by the weight of her discovery. What she had been searching for all along was real, but facing it is far harder than she imagined.
Puleng, crushed and desperate to get away, attempts to leave home. KB offers her a ride as she tries to process everything. Meanwhile, Fikile struggles mentally, drowning her sorrow in alcohol. She wanders around the pool, eventually diving into the water in a reckless moment. Chris quickly pulls her out, worried she could have drowned.
In a heart-to-heart, Chris reveals to Fikile that Puleng had shown interest in her before transferring to Parkhurst, hinting at their brief encounter during the house party that opened the series. Fikile, angered, mutters that if Puleng has any issues with her, she should confront her directly.
The ending of Blood & Water season 1, episode 6, “Trippin’”
Puleng attends the court trial and watches her father closely. During the proceedings, she learns that her father had registered her missing sister at an adoption agency months before she was even born — the very agency accused of trafficking.
Shockingly, it is also revealed that he asked his wife to terminate the pregnancy. Devastated and unable to bear the revelations, Puleng walks out of the courtroom in a daze.
At the same time, Fikile urgently calls Puleng to meet at the school. She demands honesty, determined to get to the bottom of the confusion — emotions boil over in an explosive confrontation. As tensions peak, a photo album falls from Puleng’s bag, filled with pictures of Fikile, her friends, and baby photos.
Puleng bravely reveals that she was born on the same day as her missing sister and firmly believes Fikile is her sibling. The room falls into a heavy silence as episode 6 draws to a dramatic close.
Blood & Water season 1, episode 6, “Trippin’” may tread a predictable path, but the emotional weight of the revelations brings powerful moments. Several storylines are drawn together neatly, and it naturally paves the way for an eagerly anticipated second season.
