In the penultimate episode, the Trigger team discovers that Assemblyman Cho Jin-man, heir to Hanju Group, hides his crimes in an abandoned reservoir. So-ryong dives into the reservoir to retrieve evidence, uncovering multiple dead bodies. The investigation reveals that Jin-man ran a website called “Virgin Slave,” trafficking and murdering underage girls, both Korean and foreign, dumping their bodies at Hanju Properties.

Jin-man Captured, Hyeong-tae Exposed, and Trigger Reveals the Full Truth Finally

Despite Jin-man initially evading arrest due to political immunity, one of the trafficked girls escapes and reports him to the authorities. This leads to his eventual capture. Meanwhile, Hyeong-tae, president of KNS and an accomplice of Hanju Group, attempts to manipulate the narrative by blaming Jin-man’s deceased father, Cho Tae-su. However, his plan collapses when Trigger exposes the full truth, including Jin-man’s crimes and Hyeong-tae’s complicity.

The series culminates with Trigger airing its final episode, Confession, which uncovers that actor Cha Seong-wook was murdered by Cho Hae-won, the daughter of Cho Tae-su. Hyeong-tae admits to covering up the truth but is soon exposed for his corruption. His arrest, along with that of corrupt police chief Kim Gye-nam, signifies justice for the victims and accountability for those who aided Hanju Group over the years.

Unmasked concludes on a personal note, focusing on So-ryong and Han Do’s evolving relationship. They share a heartfelt conversation, hinting at the possibility of romance as Han Do encourages So-ryong to be honest about her feelings. The finale balances professional triumph and personal growth, leaving viewers with a sense of closure on both the crime investigation and the characters’ emotional journeys.
