When assigned to investigate the case of a missing girl, Lovely, from a Christian community, he faces pressure from his higher-ups but remains unwavering in his determination to seek justice. During his investigation, Anand suspects two individuals who had mocked Lovely just before she vanished.

However, after further investigation, he clears them of any involvement. As the case begins to gain momentum, Anand’s superiors allow him to pursue the case in whatever manner he sees fit to ensure fairness and justice.

The plot takes a dark turn when Lovely’s body is discovered in a well near a church, wrapped in a cloth. The postman identifies the cloth as belonging to Sahadevan, leading the police to question him. After further interrogation, they find no evidence to link Sahadevan to the crime.

Despite being officially removed from the case, Anand continues to pursue the truth on his own.

Who Killed Lovely Mathan?

Anand’s clever tactics help him uncover key evidence in the murder case. By staging a robbery at Father Thomas’ house, he gains access to the scene and, with help from the forensics team, retrieves critical evidence.

It becomes clear that Father Thomas is not the murderer, but rather his nephew, Deacon Nathaniel Johnson, also known as Dany. Dany’s motive stems from an illicit affair with Lovely’s sister. When Lovely finds out about their secret relationship, she threatens to expose them to her father.

In a panic, Dany murders Lovely in an attempt to silence her. After her death, he and his accomplice dispose of her body to keep their crime hidden. Though Anand is instrumental in solving the case, his superior takes the credit for the breakthrough.

Meanwhile, during Dany’s transfer to court, he manages to escape custody and tragically takes his own life. This event leads to Anand and his team being suspended. However, they get another chance to prove themselves when the DSP assigns Anand to investigate the murder of a woman named Sridevi.

Anand faces resistance from the local community as he works on Sridevi’s murder case, but he remains focused on finding the truth. Through his investigation, he uncovers the key detail that Sridevi was pregnant, which provides a potential motive behind her death.

This discovery leads him to suspect the involvement of a secret lover. As Anand digs deeper, he finds that Sridevi has been receiving letters from someone in Haryana. With the help of Sadanand, a respected theatre artist, they speak with his son, who identifies the handwriting as belonging to Sudip, a close friend of his.

The investigation reaches its shocking climax when Anand uncovers the identity of Sudip’s father: Raveendran Nair, a local police officer who had been assisting Anand’s investigation. It is revealed that Nair, driven by caste prejudice and disapproval of his son’s relationship with Sridevi, had killed her and manipulated the authorities to cover up his crime.

Once the truth comes to light, Nair, consumed by guilt and shame, chooses to take his own life. Though Anand does not receive public recognition for his efforts, he finds peace in knowing that he uncovered the truth and ensured justice was served.
