Rather than starting with the current events, Chaos Theory Season 2 kicks off by focusing on Brooklynn’s past and the events that led people to believe she had died that night. While trying to trace the truth behind why dinosaurs picked up by DPW were being transported across the country and even outside the borders.
Brooklynn follows a lead that ends up being a trap. Though she escapes narrowly, she loses an arm in the process. Determined not to stop, she decides to track down the true source — The Broker. Disguising her intentions, she uses her DLN access to fly to Dubai and discovers that Soyona Santos is the one running the entire operation.

The way Chaos Theory handled Soyona Santos’ return and her transformation into a refined villain was handled quite well. Fans would remember Soyona as the well-dressed, cold-blooded character who assisted Biosyn in smuggling dinosaurs for Dodgson’s genetic research in Jurassic World: Dominion.
Knowing the kind of influence Soyona could gain if left unchecked, Brooklynn tries to infiltrate her circle. She pretends to have accepted that benefiting from dinosaurs is better than fighting for them.
Although Soyona remains suspicious, she gives Brooklynn a chance to prove her loyalty by taking her along to the dinosaur cloning facility in Senegal.
The Nublar Six Face Their Greatest Challenge Yet
Darius and His Friends Leave Home To Rescue Dinosaurs Abroad
Once the team takes down one of the illegal facilities used by The Broker, Darius, and his friends sneak onto a container ship to trace where the smuggled dinosaurs are going. A disruption on board leaves them adrift at sea, but they manage to hold on to the dinosaur eggs.
Eventually, they realize they’ve reached Africa and that some dinosaurs have already escaped and are roaming freely. While searching upriver, which they believe is the origin of the escaped dinosaurs, Ben comes across a clue that Brooklynn is still alive.
Ben reaches out to Brooklynn, only for her to warn him about the danger that The Broker poses. She begs them to avoid Senegal at all costs. Unfortunately, that’s where they find themselves. The group ends up uncovering Soyona’s covert facility.
It becomes clear that The Broker isn’t only trading dinosaurs, but she’s also cloning them for mass production. Working with her is Doctor Sarr, who has been modifying dinosaur embryos to suit the specific preferences of wealthy buyers.
This includes creating a Leucistic Baryonyx, which has customized features from the embryonic stage. During this phase of discovery, Darius, Yaz, and Sammy finally confirm that Brooklynn is still alive. While they’re initially in disbelief — thinking someone else must be impersonating her — Kenji and Ben confirm it’s truly her.
After witnessing Soyona’s cruelty, including trying to kill Doctor Sarr and ordering an Atrociraptor to attack a ship captain, the group realizes that this is no ordinary enemy. Every dinosaur could be in danger, and Soyona appears to be pushing ahead with plans to monetize dinosaur DNA on a larger scale.
Soyona’s Got a Powerful Business Partner on Her Side
She’s Aligning Herself With The Most Powerful Genetics Firm Around
Although it appears the Nublar Six managed to sabotage Soyona’s operation, it’s clear that the destruction of her lab isn’t a complete loss for her. If anything, it feels like the ones who suffered most were Darius and his team, especially since they lost Brooklynn again.
Soyona doesn’t seem too bothered and even hints that she has bigger plans lined up. When Brooklynn presses her for details, Soyona reveals that she’s entering into a strategic deal with a powerful firm — Biosyn, the global leader in genetics.
She intends to move the remaining dinosaurs, embryos, and cloning tools to Biosyn’s facilities under Lewis Dodgson’s management. Looking at the situation from Biosyn’s perspective, it’s convenient for them to use someone like Soyona — she can do the dirty work while they maintain their image.
Fans may recall that Lewis Dodgson had a brief appearance in Camp Cretaceous Season 5, where he supported Daniel Kon’s scheme to control dinosaurs through mind manipulation.
After Kon’s imprisonment, it’s possible that Dodgson began searching for someone else with the ambition and ruthlessness to continue that business — and Soyona fits that description perfectly.
What Plans Do Soyona and Biosyn Have in Mind?
Soyona Intends to Use the Dinosaur Eggs For Something More Sinister
Biosyn has always been the force pushing to dominate genetic innovation across every Jurassic entry. While Lewis Dodgson’s goals have been shared in vague terms before, Soyona is much clearer about her intentions.
She believes that instead of capturing and transporting dinosaurs, it’s smarter and more lucrative to create as many as needed through cloning. She wants to offer custom-engineered creatures tailored for whoever can pay the price.
Her past failures with hybrids like the Indominus rex and Indoraptor taught her to avoid creating such unpredictable monsters. Soyona believes more in raising dinosaurs under control than splicing them into hybrids, which suggests she may be hiding more than just her cloning ambitions.
As for Biosyn, viewers would have to wait for Season 3 to see what new direction Dodgson wants to take. Since he died in Jurassic World: Dominion, fans are left wondering where Chaos Theory fits in the timeline. Is it happening before or after Dominion?
If the show stays consistent with Dodgson’s death, then maybe Soyona is working with someone else who took control of Biosyn after him. But if he’s still alive in this continuity, then there could be more to his survival than what fans saw in the films.
How the Rift in Camp Fam Lays the Foundation for Season 3

Brooklynn Has Made a Difficult and Divisive Choice
The pain from Brooklynn’s supposed death affected Darius, Yaz, Kenji, Ben, and Sammy deeply. They felt responsible for not being there for her when she needed them the most.
But even though she survived an attack by The Handler, Brooklynn found it easier to continue working undercover while letting everyone think she had died. By doing this, she ensured that neither DPW nor The Broker would suspect there was a spy in their midst.
Yet, when she realized that the Nublar Six had become targets themselves, she resolved to expose The Broker’s plans to protect them. Things got more complicated when Brooklynn saw how massive Soyona’s operations had become.
Knowing that mere resistance wouldn’t be enough, she chose to gather hard evidence instead. That meant pretending to join Soyona’s team, even saving her life in the process. Brooklynn knew that killing Soyona wouldn’t end the crimes against dinosaurs, so she played the long game.
Her decision to align herself with Soyona was a tactical move to eventually dismantle everything from the inside. The moment Darius and the others found out Brooklynn was alive was both joyous and heartbreaking. The pain of her secrecy and cooperation with Soyona weighed heavily on the group.
Although Kenji managed to intervene, Brooklynn made the tough call to stay and finish what she started rather than return with them. She gave back Bumpy’s egg as a peace offering and reassured Soyona that her old friends would not interfere.
Even though Brooklynn’s motivation is far from selfish, the fact that she went behind their backs could cause tension moving forward. Whether Darius and the rest will be able to forgive and trust her again remains uncertain.
