Directed by Igor Gotesman, Fiasco presents a humorous portrayal of a man’s aspiration to make a film while contending with a series of challenges that make him question whether he can ever realize his dream. Who leaked Raph’s video?
Raph’s first film brought him immense excitement as he was about to bring to life a story inspired by his grandmother’s life, titled Woman of Resistance. He cast his childhood crush in the role, aiming to honor his grandmother, Huguette Valande, who was said to have saved Jewish lives during World War II by hiding them in a secret room.

Despite Raph’s deep respect for her bravery, his family was unsupportive, viewing his film as a waste of money rather than a worthy tribute. But Raph remained determined, holding firm to his passion and moving forward with unwavering dedication.
From the beginning of production, Raph’s journey was filled with setbacks. Financial difficulties, difficult actors, and even Ludivine’s bad breath caused problems for the crew. Things escalated when a video of Raph surfaced online, in which he made controversial statements, causing a backlash that damaged his reputation.
Raph, who not only directed but also acted in the film, was left in a dilemma about whether to associate his name with the project. Seeking to clear his name, he arranged an interview with Claire Chazal, a renowned journalist, to explain that his actions were a mistake.
However, even that interview turned into a disaster when Raph, Jean-Marc, and Ingrid all fell ill after eating something just before the livestream. Raph began suspecting there was a mole among the crew, sabotaging the film’s progress.
How did Tom become a part of the film?
Tom, a long-time friend of Raph’s and an aspiring actor, was initially not considered for a role in the film. Raph didn’t see him fitting into any part and doubted his acting ability. However, things took a turn when Jean-Marc’s ex-wife, Nora, withdrew her financial support for the film after a fallout with Jean-Marc.
Since Nora had provided most of the funding, Jean-Marc found himself unable to continue the production on a large scale without her. In a bid to keep the project going, Raph asked Tom to pretend to be an investor. Tom took this role seriously, adopting the persona of “Bartabe” and offering 8 million euros to the production.
Jean-Marc was thrilled at the prospect of the investment, but unbeknownst to him, Tom developed feelings for him during their brief affair, though he never admitted it until the end. Tom’s involvement in the film also marked his first acting job, and he was thrilled to receive his first paycheck after years of yearning to act.
Now that the opportunity was within reach, he was determined to make the most of it. Ingrid, initially cast as Raph’s grandmother, decided to leave the project after a shocking discovery about the true nature of Raph’s grandmother.
It was revealed that Raph’s grandmother, whom he had idealized as a hero, was a staunch Nazi sympathizer, with Nazi memorabilia hidden in the secret room where she had once sheltered Jews. Raph was devastated by this revelation but chose to proceed with the film, proposing to add a disclaimer about creative liberties.
Despite this, Ingrid could not continue, her conscience troubled by the truth and Raph’s constant manipulation of reality to protect his image. Ingrid also criticized Raph for his need for constant validation and his refusal to face his true self.
Though their relationship faced many challenges, including Raph locking Tom in his car for 48 hours, they eventually reconciled, with Tom realizing that Raph wasn’t a bad person at heart.
But despite his best efforts, Raph’s film began to fall apart as the crew faced one obstacle after another, including a stolen car spark plug that left them stranded. Ultimately, Raph came to terms with the fact that he might never create the film he envisioned.
Was Raph able to find the mole?
Raph’s journey was being documented by Slice, and by the time of the premiere, no one suspected that Slice was behind the many problems that had plagued the production. It was only at the end of Fiasco that the truth came to light: Slice had been leaking information, causing all the chaos on the set.

When confronted, Slice explained that his actions were part of his plan to make the documentary more engaging, seeing it as a way to gain publicity. This revelation was a turning point for Raph, who, moved by the discovery, chose to confront his fears and accept who he truly was.
In a bold move, he stood before the audience and finally embraced his authentic self, tired of living a life of pretense. Ingrid, who had reconciled with Raph, expressed her love for him, and it seemed as though the chaos was finally settling down.
However, as Slice attempted to capture the moment on camera, he fell from the roof and tragically died from his injuries. The series ended on a cliffhanger, leaving viewers hoping that Raph would ultimately find the love and fulfillment he had long been denied.
