Elisa and her lover, Marcus, flee the scene, leaving Marcus to take the blame. Elisa resumes her life with Fred and Lucia, harboring secrets about both the accident and the paternity of her son, George. Nina’s obsession with Lucia stems from unresolved grief and a misdirected sense of justice.
