It’s no longer news that many people rate this Zee5 series highly for the kind of acting delivered by Sunil Grover, Ranvir Shorey, and Ashish Vidyarthi, among others. While some believe it deserves more attention, what’s certain is that the newly released second season continues from where the first one stopped.
It leaves things hanging again with a suspenseful ending. Rather than holding on to the items, Tailor hands over a teddy bear stuffed with cash and gold to the authorities after Season 2. DG, played by Ranvir Shorey, and Tambe take the matter up and dig deeper.

Sunflower Season 2 Ending Explained
Eventually, tracing the source of the money to a bar where a mysterious woman called Rosie (Adah Sharma) was once working. They uncover that the currency had poison on it and connect this discovery to the murder of Raj Kapoor (Ashwin Kaushal).
As this is going on, Sonu (Sunil Grover) is seen making plans to sell a flat. Meanwhile, Radha alerts the police that Sonu and Rosie are planning to flee to the Maldives. She intends to prevent them from escaping. The big revelation comes when it’s found out that Rosie had secretly joined forces with Kapoor to launder money.
But Kapoor’s wife, in her quest to claim a flat valued at 14 crore rupees, went as far as using the poisoned money to take his life.
Who Killed Rosie?
Even though Season 2 doesn’t confirm who was behind Rosie’s death, fans have come up with four possible explanations. One theory is that Sonu might have taken her life over money. Another suggests someone else pushed her while Sonu was locked up in the bathroom.
Some suspect the housemaid might have had a hand in it, and a few believe Rosie probably chose to end her life when she realised there was no way out. Many viewers lean towards the idea that Sonu ended her life after discovering she had only been using him and Kapoor to get to their money.
People are even wondering whether he poisoned the lipstick she used.
Who Is Sonu AKA Shashwat Lamba?
There’s a scene from the past where Kapoor’s wife adds poison to the notes just to gather proof about Kapoor’s affair. Fast forward to the present, Rosie is seen falling from her balcony and landing on a police vehicle. Sonu is inside the bathroom during this time and doesn’t even realise that Rosie is already dead.
It’s during the investigation that the police discover his real name—Shashwat Lamba—something that shocks everyone around. So, who exactly is Shashwat Lamba? He is someone who escaped from a psychiatric facility and has been pretending to be Sonu all this time.
This also explains why he loses his temper easily and has certain triggers. One thing that sets him off is when people use disrespectful terms to describe women, like calling them “items.” That being said, Season 3 of Sunflower is expected to provide answers about Rosie’s death and finally show who Shashwat Lamba is.
