The story in season 1 centers on the passionate yet tumultuous romance between Camila Román (Carolina Miranda), a dancer in Las Vegas, and Fernando Castell (Rodolfo Salas), a Colombian plastic surgeon. As their relationship deepens, Camila uncovers a troubling truth: Fernando is not who he claims to be, as his real identity is Miguel Estévez.

This revelation reveals that Miguel is married with a family, ensnaring Camila in a web of deceit. Season 1 follows her quest to expose the truth while striving to escape Miguel’s manipulation.

Manuela González also returns as Angela, Miguel’s ex-wife, who was incarcerated for killing her father.

A Look at the Plot of Fake Profile Season 2

Picking up nearly two years after season 1’s conclusion, season 2’s storyline reveals with Angela being released early from prison, just 18 months into her sentence for her father’s murder. Meanwhile, Camila is engaged to David but continues to experience haunting nightmares about Miguel. Adding to the tension, a killer roams free.

Utilizing Camila’s Tinder profile under the alias ‘Red Velvet,’ this enigmatic killer begins inviting men out on dates, only to murder them afterward. Detective Indira works diligently to identify the murderer as individuals connected to Camila, David, Miguel, and Angela become victims.

Fake Profile Season 2 Ending Explained: Who is Behind the Murders?

If the identity of the killer wasn’t apparent early on, Angela Ferrer emerges as the primary antagonist. Following her release from prison, her desire for revenge drives her actions.

Her first victim, Jesus Franco, falls prey to her lure as she arranges a date, leading to his death found in a bathtub. Soon after, Adrian, Angela’s brother, and Cristobal (Adrian’s ex-fiancé) meet similar fates, all succumbing to heart attacks.

The police discover the bodies either in bathtubs or swimming pools, complicating detective Indira’s investigation into a common thread among the murders aside from the Tinder profile.

Initially suspecting Inti, an ex-escort infatuated with Angela in season 1, Indira believes the killer targets unfaithful men. However, this theory collapses when Camila’s friend Erika is also murdered.

Angela’s Motive Revealed

In the season’s final episode, it is disclosed that Angela’s therapist, Dr. Joaquin Duval, encouraged her pursuit of revenge during her time in prison. As she shared her disdain for unfaithful men due to her husband’s betrayal, Duval proposed a disturbing experiment centered on studying sexually unfulfilled men in committed relationships.

Together, they meticulously planned the murders, with the first occurring when Duval arranged Angela’s medical leave from prison. After Adrian uncovers their scheme, Duval resorts to killing him, while Erika’s murder occurs due to her proximity to Camila. Angela also eliminates Tina, a colleague of her father’s, upon learning of her father’s affair with Tina’s mother.

What Happens to Camila, Miguel, and David?

Throughout the series, Miguel’s obsessive behavior towards Camila is apparent as he stalks her despite her clear boundaries. Meanwhile, Camila, who is undergoing therapy, shares her experiences and nightmares involving Miguel with her counselor.

As the story reveals, Camila chooses to rekindle her relationship with Miguel, a troubling decision considering his past violations of her consent and persistent stalking.

In the finale, David forces her to sign divorce papers, and it becomes evident that Camila’s therapist is also Dr. Duval, Angela’s counselor. He has been secretly recording their sessions, further revealing his obsession with her.

Detective Indira apprehends Duval, only to discover his extensive history of covertly recording patients for over a decade. As the episode reveals, Duval manages to abduct Camila from Angela’s residence, taking her on a yacht where he confesses his involvement with Angela and the murders, claiming the identity of ‘Red Velvet’ and explaining his motivation for killing Adrian.

During their confrontation, Miguel confronts Duval, leading to a physical altercation. Indira intervenes, shooting Duval from a nearby speedboat. In a moment of reconciliation, Camila and Miguel embrace, hinting at a newfound commitment to each other.

Angela’s Escape

In the series finale, Angela and her neighbor Vanessa engage in a dark scheme to dispose of Santiago’s body after Vanessa shoots him during an attempted assault on Angela. This act of violence fulfills Angela’s desire for revenge against Santiago, who had pressured her to abandon her ambitions to satisfy company shareholders.

Together, the women dissolve his remains in a chemical solution before fleeing to another country, leaving behind a trail of chaos.
